Outline planning applications for the Great Haddon scheme were submitted to the City Council in December 2009.

In the 12 months since submission, a considerable amount of work has taken place on refining the proposals and responding to the consultation responses received from statutory consultees, local residents and interest groups.

In response to a formal request from Peterborough City Council for additional information, proposed changes to the Great Haddon proposals and additional supporting material has just been submitted to the Council for consideration and for public consultation.

This section of the website contains all the documents which have been submitted to the City Council as part, or in support, of the two applications. The original planning application material can be found elsewhere on this website (see the section entitled “The Project”).

A summary of the changes to the applications is provided in Working Paper 13. The main reports submitted as additional material can be viewed here, and hard copies of the material are available to view at the City Council offices at Stuart House, libraries at Yaxley and Hampton, and at O&H Properties’ Peterborough office; Hempsted Barn, 285 London Road, Peterborough PE7 0LD.

Should you have difficulties accessing or viewing this information online, CD copies of all the material are available at a cost of £5 from David Lock Associates, the applicants’ planning consultants (please email greathaddon@davidlock.com).

The current public consultation period for the applications runs until Friday 25 March 2011. Anyone who wishes to comment on the applications should write to: Planning Services, Stuart House, East Wing, St John's Street, Peterborough PE1 5DD.

Two outline planning applications have been prepared for the Great Haddon scheme and have now been submitted to the City Council for consideration.

The application for the Great Haddon Employment Area - the northern part of the Great Haddon site - is for 65 ha of employment land, with the potential to generate over 10,000 new jobs in the area. The Core Area application is for the central and southern part of the Great Haddon site, and is for up to 5,350 new homes, together with schools, shops, workplaces, open space, community facilities and local services to serve the new resident population of around 12,000 people.

This section of the website contains all the documents which have been submitted to the City Council as part, or in support, of the two applications.

A summary of the applications and Environmental Assessment work is provided in Working Paper 12. The main reports submitted with the application can be viewed here, and hard copies of the Environmental Statement Volume 3 (Appendices) are available to view at the City Council offices and Peterborough Central Library.

Should you have difficulties accessing or viewing this information online, CD copies of all the material are available at a cost of £5 from David Lock Associates, the applicants’ planning consultants (please email: greathaddon@davidlock.com).

The public consultation period for the applications runs until 20 January 2010. Anyone who wishes to comment on the applications should write to: Planning Services, Stuart House, East Wing, St John's Street, Peterborough PE1 5DD.

The plans for Great Haddon have been revised in the light of comments made during the public consultation period last summer and following discussions with stakeholders including Yaxley Parish Council over the last six months.

An outline application for Great Haddon is now in the final stages of preparation, and will be submitted to the City Council in Spring 2009.

Many thanks to all who attended the public consultation sessions held in the local area during May and June. Over 200 people attended the three days, and we are now evaluating the results of the questionnaire survey.
